TAGS

Through an online account, pet owners can choose which public profile settings work best for them. The default setting is always private (which is why no information appears when you search a tag number through this link), but pet owners can adjust the privacy settings to one of the following options:

  1. Never Display: If a pet owner or community member searches a pet's tag number, no information will be displayed, regardless of whether the pet has been reported as lost.
  2. Only Display When a Pet is Lost: If a pet owner or community member searches a pet's tag number, no information will be shown unless the pet owner has reported their pet as lost. In that case, their information will be made public.
  3. Always Displayed: Regardless of whether a pet owner has reported their pet as lost, if a pet owner or community member searches the pet's tag number, the information the pet owner has chosen to always display will be made available

DISCLAIMER: Regardless of which option you select for your information in account settings - 'Never Display', 'Only Display When a Pet is Lost', or 'Always Displayed' - please be aware that any information you have entered is a public record under sections 955.07 & 149.43 of the Ohio Revised Code and must be disclosed to anyone who makes a public records request to the Clark County Auditor's Office.

ACCOUNT UPDATES

We’re sorry! Unfortunately, unless you update your account to reflect that a pet is no longer in your care, we have no way of knowing. Have you already told us? You may have a duplicate account. Get in touch with your licensing organization or our DocuPet customer service team to update your record.

We're sorry for your loss. You can update a pet's profile via your online account by editing your pet's profile and selecting 'Remove this Pet'.

If you are moving, please be sure to update your address by logging into your online account and navigating to your Profile Settings page. Even though you are moving, you’ll still be able to keep your pet's tag and access your pet's online account. However, your current license may not be valid in the new community you are moving to. Please get in touch with the pet licensing provider in the new community you are moving to in order to find out more information.
